Huerta and countryside
Country houses and orchard houses in Murcia
Houses with land between irrigation channels and lemon trees minutes from the city, and country houses in the inland towns.
The orchard of Murcia
The orchard surrounds the city with villages such as Monteagudo, Cabezo de Torres, Churra or El Esparragal. It offers a way of living with a garden, space and quiet while keeping the city, schools and hospitals nearby.
What to look for in a huerta house
- Water. If it irrigates via acequia, which turn it has and what fee it pays to the irrigation community.
- Accesses. Many tracks are narrow or shared: it is advisable to know who maintains them.
- What has been built. Extensions, porches and swimming pools must be declared in the Cadastre and registered.
- The surroundings. Road noise, farms or nearby agricultural activity at different times of day.
Country homes inland
Towards Abanilla, Fortuna or the Ricote Valley, country houses offer more land for less money. We always request planning and supply information before viewings.
